Saint Helier

The War Tunnels

The War Tunnels were built by the German Army’s slave labour in world war II. Now home to an exhibition about the occupation and a fascinating look into Jersey’s wartime past.

This is a good attraction for wine lovers. The vineyard has a cafe and does some excellent guided tours, and you will get the chance to try some of the fine Jersey wine yourself, like their fine Red, White and Rose wines. The wine tour is excellent value for money!

Walks in Jersey

Saint Ouens Beach

One walk we would highly recommend is a stroll along Saint Ouens beach. This is the longest beach in jersey and is popular with dog walkers and surfers. Sometimes don’t need a surfboard.

Jersey has other good beaches for walking, like Saint Aubin beach and St. Brelade Beach, to name just a few.

The Railway Walk

The railway walk is a lovely four-mile walk that takes you from  St Aubin to Corbière, where you can get some fantastic pictures of the famous Corbiere lighthouse. The lighthouse had a famous racehorse named after it. The horse went missing some years ago, but I can assure you the lighthouse is still there.

You can bye snacks and stone-baked pizza along the walk, so why not break your journey with a stop for lunch?

Queens Vally Reservoir Walk

This is a leisurely 1.9-mile walk that takes you to enjoy the wildlife on the walk with mallard ducks, cormorants, and lots of other wildlife and enjoy the trees in blown at certain times of the year. This is a peaceful walk that lets you get back to nature.

Visit France and Other Chanel Islands

The Island of Sark

A visit to the Island Sark is like stepping back in time. There are no cars on the Island, so why not take a trip on a horse and cart and do things the old-fashioned way? The old cottages and houses are beautiful. At certain times of the year, sark is blacked with wildflowers from one end of the Island to the other it is truly unique!

How to Visit France from Island

There are several routes to travel from the Island to France. The most recommended and cheapest way is using a ferry which takes 6 hours and 25 minutes to reach the destination. In contrast, a quick and efficient way is to fly by air.
